Summary: | Different working processes for achieving ultrafine-grain structure in Elinvar alloys are considered. The yield strengths of the treated platelike samples were obtained at normal temperatures by tensile tests. After being quenched in water, the specimens were subjected to deformation by rolling with a reduction of 50 percent, and aged in vacuum of 1.33 Pa. The technique uses aging at 700 C for 1 h to form the sections of intermittent disintegration, which become centers of recrystallization, resulting in ultrafine-grain structure. It is shown that with preliminary aging the grain size of 2 to 4 microns (for different alloys) is possible. An increase in yield strength from 1050 to 1200 MPa was achieved by converting to ultrafine-grain structure. Complete regimes for recrystallization treatment arg presented for two Elinvar alloys. |
