A study of the effects of phosphorus on the kinetics of recrystallization and mechanical properties of Ni2Cr alloy

Description
Summary:Low, medium and high phosphorus content-conditioned recrystallization was investigated for 50-percent cold-rolled Ni2Cr alloy specimens annealed at temperatures from 600 to 100 C as functions of surface hardness and microstructure change. Interactions between dislocations and the strain fields of phosphorus impurity atoms are found to yield an increase in hardness; phosphorus also increases the activation energy of the recovery and recrystallization process. The effects of thermomechanical treatment and order transformation on mechanical properties are also investigated. (O.C.)
