Theoretical analysis of NMR and neutron scattering data in cerium compounds

The neutron scattering quasielastic linewidth and the NMR relaxation rate measured on the Si site in CeCu sub 2 Si sub 2 or the Al site in CeAl sub 2 are analyzed together within the spin-fluctuation model. In the proposed model, the neutron quasielastic linewidth measures the 4f susceptibility, whi...

Description
Summary:The neutron scattering quasielastic linewidth and the NMR relaxation rate measured on the Si site in CeCu sub 2 Si sub 2 or the Al site in CeAl sub 2 are analyzed together within the spin-fluctuation model. In the proposed model, the neutron quasielastic linewidth measures the 4f susceptibility, while the NMR relaxation rate measures the s-electron susceptibility which is indirectly enhanced by the 4f electrons via the s--f exchange interaction. 22 ref.--AA
