Superconductivity of the linear chain compound Tl sub(2)Mo sub(6)Se sub(6)
The authors report on transport properties of chain-like compounds M sub(2)Mo sub(6)X sub(6) with M = In or Tl and X = Se or Te. Only Tl sub(2)Mo sub(6)Se sub(6) is found to be superconducting, with a critical temperature between 5.5 and 6.6 K. The superconducting properties are extremely dependent...

Summary: | The authors report on transport properties of chain-like compounds M sub(2)Mo sub(6)X sub(6) with M = In or Tl and X = Se or Te. Only Tl sub(2)Mo sub(6)Se sub(6) is found to be superconducting, with a critical temperature between 5.5 and 6.6 K. The superconducting properties are extremely dependent on the sample preparation. They have determined large azimuthal and polar anisotropies by magnetoresistance measurements. Properties of rare-earth-substituted samples, such as Eu sub(2-x)Tl sub(x)Mo sub(6)Se sub(6), are also reported. |
