Description
Summary:The solubility and the diffusivity of hydrogen in the eutectic alloy 17Li83Pb have been studied in a device especially designed for taking into account the expected low level of solubility. The structural materials were chosen as inert as possible to H and a large amount of alloy is used. The data obtained at 450 deg C (Sieverts' constant: (2.7 plus/minus 0.2) x 10 exp --8 atomic fraction Pa exp --0.5 ; diffusivity: 1.5 x 10 exp --9 m exp 2 s exp --1 ) confirm the low ability of the alloy 17Li83Pb for containing H. 12 ref.--AA
