Summary:Salusin-β is a newly defined biomarker that plays a role in atherogenesis and in homeostasis. The study aimed to assess serum salusin-β level in relation to atherosclerosis and ventricular dysfunction in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients. Sixty T2DM patients and twenty-five age-matched healthy controls were included. Serum salusin-β was determined by ELISA.
