Description
Summary:The survey was deemed not human subjects research by the University of California, Davis Institutional Review Board. Nearly all respondents (90%) indicated their position was financially supported by the hospital and reported to the hospital’s trauma program or emergency department (75% and 15%, respectively). Furthermore, the IPC role needs to be provided with adequate resources, dedicated time for community-based interventions, and public health training necessary to develop effective hospital-based injury and violence prevention programs.
