Summary: | In view of the growing development and interest in polymers as basic materials for electronic applications in semiconductor devices, an attempt to assess their possibilities as sensitive elements is presented. Some considerations about the electrical conductivity of polymeric materials as well as its relation with some physical and chemical properties are reported, and a tentative classification of possible devices is given. |
