Description
Summary:Key Points Increased recognition of the need for psychosocial services among oncology patients requires departments to develop practice models that meet patient and organization needs. Re‐referrals to psychosocial oncology departments present a challenge to efficiency. Referral data can be utilized to inform practice models on managing re‐referrals. Subgroups of re‐referrals are more likely to follow through with engagement in psychosocial oncology services. Demographic differences across age and racial/ethnic groups were observed in re‐referral patterns.
