Carbon-atomic hydrogen discharge reaction

The reaction of hydrogen atoms produced in a low-pressure electrical AC discharge with graphite electrodes was shown to produce primarily CH 4 and C 2H 2 and, to a lesser extent, C 3C 6 hydrocarbons. The effect of flow rate of H 2 and applied voltage were also studied.
