Summary:Thermal expansion coefficients were determined in the temperature range 5-300K for an austenitic stainless steel, a nickel based alloy and three titanium alloys. Thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity were also determined and the behaviour of the three functions compared. The thermal expansion was found to be the thermophysical characteristic which was most sensitive to changes in electron magnetic states at low temperatures. 4 ref.--AA
