Summary: | The change in structure of methyl cellulose (MC) in different solvents (water and DMFA) is determined by rheological, thermomechanical and dielectric studies. Introduction of MC into segmented polyurethane results in distribution of the intermolecular interactions in the binary system, which has a significant effect on the viscoelastic behaviour. When the MC concentration correspondes to the equivalent ratio of polar groups in MC and polyurethane a sharp change in the relation between composition and properties is observed. The nature of this changes depends on structural organization of the MC and on the type of solvent. |
