Summary: | Submicronic spherical BaTiO
3 particles of narrow size distribution have been prepared by thermal treatment of a new peroxidic compound of Ba and Ti. The properties of the solid precursor, obtained by homogeneous nucleation, depend on the experimental conditions (concentration of the reacting compounds, temperature, time, etc.). The average particle size of the final products can also be controlled by varying these parameters. A mechanism of the reactions involved is offered. |
