Summary: | Key Points
The endovascular snare technique (EST) is a strategy to manage the simultaneous occurrence of angulated aorta and preexistent bioprosthetic aortic valve when performing valve‐in‐valve (VIV) transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
This technique improves navigability of the self‐expandable (SE) Evolut transcatheter heart valve (THV) and allows to benefit from its advantageous hemodynamics.
Larger studies are needed to evaluated the risk–benefit profile of VIV TAVR with SE THV and EST as compared with other THV types. |
