The re-evaluation of multiple peaks in the DSC melting endotherm of isotactic polypropylene

From X-ray, DSC and i.r. study, the appearance of multiple peaks in the melting endotherm of isotactic polypropylene has been shown to arise from α-crystalline regions alone with little influence from the β crystal form. Contrary to the appearance of the DSC thermogram, we suggest that only two genu...

Description
Summary:From X-ray, DSC and i.r. study, the appearance of multiple peaks in the melting endotherm of isotactic polypropylene has been shown to arise from α-crystalline regions alone with little influence from the β crystal form. Contrary to the appearance of the DSC thermogram, we suggest that only two genuine melting endotherms might be present and that the shape of the thermogram is modified by exothermic processes.
