Summary: | See preceding abstract. A study was made of uniaxially-loaded ferromagnetic material to determine the effect of stress concentrating substances on the viscoelastic transition temperature. A Mossbauer spectroscopy technique was used, and the ferromagnetic materials chosen were Fe--Si binary alloys which have a well-defined Zeeman sextet. Results indicate that, in the region of elastic deformation, there is an increase in the effective magnetic field, the development of an electric field gradient, a positive isomer shift, and the formation of magnetic texture. Spin reversal was noted in the microplastic region, with a significant electric field gradient. |
