Summary: | In samples of mica-filled PMMA the authors have studied the transverse magnetic relaxation times as a function of temperature and concentration of filler. In PMMA two phases of protons were found with a different value of segmental mobility. The filler particles effectively retard this motion but plasticizer molecules plasticize both polymer phases. An evaluation of the thickness of the boundary layers as a function of the concentration of filler and plasticizer is presented. |
