Summary:During the eight year history of NdFeB sintered magnets a large evolution in both the composition of materials and the process technology has been observed. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate these changes. Particular emphasis is set on those processes that have reached the production stage. Some interactions between the evolutions in composition and those in the processes are described. Finally, some trends for possible major future changes are evaluated.
