Description
Summary:Results of an extensive neutron scattering investigation of the states of order of Fe--29.3 at.% Al are reported. The temperature T ranged from 723-1373K. A model has been developed which leads to a uniform description of the states of order over the whole quoted temperature range. Throughout the temperature range, Fe--29.3 at.% Al is DO sub 3 -long range ordered. Below approx 770K, the antiphase domains are very large; above this temperature they are small. Up to approx 1373K, the DO sub 3 -long range order parameter is close to its theoretical maximum.
