ISOCAM: a survey of cryogenic mechanism technology developed by CNRS/CEA

The engineering models were developed and studied for the wheels operating in the short wave and long wave channels of ISOCAM. The design criteria were determined and it was found that the stepper motor fulfils these criteria most accurately.
