Summary:For the determination of the power losses and other relevant quantities of metallic glass ribbons, a yoke set-up with various coil systems has been constructed. A digital oscilloscope and a microcomputer were used for the measurement. Results obtained using the H-coil method and by determining the field strength from the magnetizing current are in agreement within 5% in the frequency range up to 100 kHz.
