Summary: | A nonlinear finite element analysis program (NOFEAP) has been developed which includes formulations of material, geometric, and surface nonlinearities. This program is intended to be used for analyzing a rolling contact forming process. A model of rolling contact loads has been implemented in NOFEAP. Several rolling experiments on Al 6061 disks have been performed to verify the numerical model of rolling. The results of these experiments are presented and compared to numerical results obtained using NOFEAP. 18 ref.--AA(US). |
