Summary: | Flat cosmological models, which show that the observed redshift distribution of galaxies in the sample of Broadhurst et al. (1990) was maximally periodic in the calculated spatial distance, are extended to all the three possible space geometries. Equally good periodicity is found in a wide range of parameters. The dimensionless parameters Omega(0) and lambda(0) are used to derive an acceptable periodicity for all points of the parameter plane within the strip. The best periodicities are found along the line lambda(0) = 0.83, Omega(0) +0.39; fitting to the previous optimum at Omega(0) equals 1/3, and lambda(0) equals 2/3. (O.G.) |
