Fe-Fe coupling in iron-doped lithium aluminate phosphors
Luminescence results for LiAl5-xFexO8, where the iron content lay in the range 0.005-0.500 for stoichiometric nominal x-values, are presented. Results show that the luminescence quenching of lithium aluminate, doped with a wide range of iron concentrations, is due mostly to the formation of short-ra...

Summary: | Luminescence results for LiAl5-xFexO8, where the iron content lay in the range 0.005-0.500 for stoichiometric nominal x-values, are presented. Results show that the luminescence quenching of lithium aluminate, doped with a wide range of iron concentrations, is due mostly to the formation of short-range pairs and long-range agglomerates of iron ions rather than to the lithium aluminate and lithium ferrite phase segregation observed for these compounds. 17 refs. |
