Description
Summary:The journal launched "JAH Intersection" in 2020 as a dedicated section that features expressions of human experience through poetry, personal narratives, visual art, photography, and paintings--all pertaining to the health and well-being of young people. Often these works were created by the very same adolescents they collectively work to understand, treat, and support. JAH Intersection been shaped by an interprofessional collaboration of people from around the globe who serve on the JAH Intersection Selection Committee. These teachers, clinicians, researchers, community health workers, and artists all share the same vision: to add depth and breadth to our scientific journal and to elevate the voices of those they serve. In fall 2020, the Intersection Selection Committee issued a call for submissions to a contest focused on the theme of "Allyship," an undeniably necessary and urgent commitment calling for thoughtful action.
