OMCVD neodymium oxide film effect on Z4CN18-09 (AISI 304) steel high-temperature corrosion behaviour

In this paper, a OMCVD method for local introduction of reactive element as rare earth at chromia former-alloy surfaces is described. Effect of such a coating on high-temperature oxidation of the common stainless steel Z4CN18-09 (AISI 304) is comparatively tested in isothermal and cyclic conditions....

Description
Summary:In this paper, a OMCVD method for local introduction of reactive element as rare earth at chromia former-alloy surfaces is described. Effect of such a coating on high-temperature oxidation of the common stainless steel Z4CN18-09 (AISI 304) is comparatively tested in isothermal and cyclic conditions. In both cases, and particularly in cyclic conditions, a significant improvement of the high-temperature corroison behaviour is observed.
