Summary:See adjacent abstract. Specimens of aluminum base alloy type AMg6N were used to demonstrate the experimental technique developed to determine a resistance to both mode 1 and mode 2 fatigue crack propagation at various values of coefficients of loading cycle asymmetry. Plane specimens with initial edge cracks were tested for three-point and four-point bending. The loading schemes and experimental facilities were presented. The results obtained were processed by the least square method.
