Summary: | See adjacent abstract. Within the temperature range of 293-77K Young modulus values were analyzed for a number of ferritic, martensitic, austenitic, and transition class steels. In austenitic and transition class steels the anomaly in Young modulus behavior was revealed which manifested itself in modulus decrease with temperature. This anomaly is characteristic for steels with austenite content of 10% and more. The phenomenon observed is suggested to relate to antiferromagnetic ordering. Temperature dependencies of Young modulus are presented for steels types 03Kh13AG19, 07Kh13N4AG20, 03Kh20N16AG6, 05Kh20N10AG10, 12Kh18N10T, Kh12N2VMF, 07Kh16N6, 02Kh13GN9MDF1, 0N9. |
