Description
Summary:A new relationship between two adjacent gamma lamellae is described for the Ti-46.5 Al-2.5 V alloy prepared by inductive float melting under argon atmosphere using high-purity titanium and aluminum as the raw charge. Analysis of selected area diffraction patterns indicates that the orientation relationship between adjacent gamma lamella is neither the gamma twin nor the twin-related gamma, but a long straight antiphase boundary.
