Summary: | A non-self-adjoint differential equation and boundary conditions are obtained for a Leipholz column subjected to random loading in space and having stochastic material property fluctuations. The full covariance structure of the free vibration eigenvalues and critical loads is derived in terms of second-order properties of input random fields characterizing the system parameter fluctuations. The full potential of the expressions obtained here is illustrated by a numerical example. (V.L.) |
