Effect Of A Non-linear Elastic Foundation On The Mode Shapes In Stability And Vibration Problems Of Uniform Columns/beams

The effect of a nonlinear elastic foundation on the mode shapes of buckling and free vibration of uniform columns/beam is addressed. The results show that no mode shape change occurs whatever may be the value of the foundation parameter gamma. (C.D.)
