Factors contributing to CSF NfL reduction over time in those starting treatment for multiple sclerosis: an observational study
HIGHLIGHTS•An observational cohort study of 61 pwMS with two CSF NfL measurements as part of their routine follow-up. Forty pwMS were untreated at the first CSF sampling timepoint and treated at the second. •Factors reflecting early disease stage, including a younger age, lower disability and relaps...

Summary: | HIGHLIGHTS•An observational cohort study of 61 pwMS with two CSF NfL measurements as part of their routine follow-up. Forty pwMS were untreated at the first CSF sampling timepoint and treated at the second. •Factors reflecting early disease stage, including a younger age, lower disability and relapsing MS were associated with treatment response in CSF NfL. •There was no association in CSF NfL reduction with BMI, disease duration, sex or lymphopenia in highly-active treatments. |
