Experimental and theoretical investigation of a N\+v\2\-v\-O\+v\2\-v\ DC flowing glow discharge
A study has been performed to investigate the kinetics of production of N atoms and NO molecules in DC N\+v\2\-v\-O\+v\2\-v\ flowing glow discharges at pressure 2.0 Torr for discharge currents 15, 30 and 80 mA. Measurements of the following parameters have been made: reduced electric field; electron...

Summary: | A study has been performed to investigate the kinetics of production of N atoms and NO molecules in DC N\+v\2\-v\-O\+v\2\-v\ flowing glow discharges at pressure 2.0 Torr for discharge currents 15, 30 and 80 mA. Measurements of the following parameters have been made: reduced electric field; electron density; gas temperature; the vibrational temperature of N\+v\2\-v\ molecules; and the concentration of N atoms and NO molecules. This set of measurements is compared to the results of a one-dimensional model. (Original abstract-amended) |
