Summary:Mössbauer and magnetization measurements are performed at 300 K on the Al-substituted disordered spinel system CoFe 2− x Al x O 4 ( x = 0–1.6). Magnetization results exhibit non-collinear ferrimagnetic structure for x = 0–0.6 and Néel's collinear ferrimagnetic structure for x = 0.7–1.6, while Mössbauer results confirm non-collinear and collinear ferrimagnetic structure for x = 0–0.6 and x = 0.7–1.2, respectively.
