Magnetic hyperfine field in the Heusler alloys Co sub 2 YZ (Y=V, Nb, Ta, Cr; Z=Al, Ga)

The magnetic hyperfine field (mhf) acting on a exp 181 Ta probe dilutely substituted at the non-magnetic transition element site has been investigated in the Heusler alloys Co sub 2 VGa, Co sub 2 NbGa, Co sub 2 TaAl and Co sub 2 CrAl by TDPAC measurements utilizing the 133-482 keV gamma-gamma cascad...

Description
Summary:The magnetic hyperfine field (mhf) acting on a exp 181 Ta probe dilutely substituted at the non-magnetic transition element site has been investigated in the Heusler alloys Co sub 2 VGa, Co sub 2 NbGa, Co sub 2 TaAl and Co sub 2 CrAl by TDPAC measurements utilizing the 133-482 keV gamma-gamma cascade in exp 181 Ta following the beta exp - decay of exp 181 Hf. The results are discussed in terms of the mhf systematics in the cobalt-based Heusler alloys, and are compared with theoretical predictions based on the Blandin and Campbell model.
