Description
Summary:Cho and Yu discuss the case study of a 20-month-old baby with double inlet left ventricle of single ventricle physiology presented with a 2-day history of fever and right-side weakness. She had undergone bidirectional cavopulmonary shunt surgery 1 year earlier. The echocardiogram revealed left atrioventricular valve regurgitation by highly mobile vegetation, and brain magnetic resonance imaging showed embolic cerebral infarction. Streprococcus sanguinis grew in the blood culture. A Janeway lesion appeared on the sole. Antibiotics were administered, and surgical treatment was performed to replace the left atrioventricular valve.
