description The problem concerning the dynamic stability for routing decision under dynamically varying load conditions in a packet switching network is studied. From a system control point of view, the control-oriented space state model describing the process of packets transmitted throughout the network and routing variables in a multiple traffic and multiple link network are established. A definition of the stability of the routing decision is given and some constraints and conditions about the network link average utilization function G(. ) and the routing diversion matrix R/sup d/ ensuring the stability of the network are developed.< >
