Summary:P sub 2 O sub 5 -PbO-Nb sub 2 O sub 5 -K sub 2 O-xFe sub 2 O sub 3 glasses were studied using thermally stimulated depolarization currents and Mossbauer spectroscopy in samples of different Fe concentrations. They were subjected to oxidation and reduction processes. The use of both techniques provided new information about the distribution of Fe and Nb between tetrahedral and octahedral sites.
