Description
Summary:In our study, which was published in a Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCI-E) journal and can also be accessed in Pubmed, we investigated the effects of cilostazol and aspirin on wound healing in DFU patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD) [2]. The mean duration of treatment was 1.31 months (1-2 months) in the cilostazol group and 1.82 months (1-2.5 months) in the aspirin group (p < 0,05) [2]. Because of the risk of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) in patients with DFUs, an antiaggregant therapy such as aspirin or cilostazol should be initiated. [...]of our study, it can be said that cilostazol is more effective than aspirin in the recovery of symptoms of PAD and effective treatment of DFUs.
