While it can take decades to earn a great reputation, you can lose it in an instant with a serious breach of character, and while having consistent good character will lead to many positive outcomes, it also is most valuable in preventing bad outcomes. A drearr or a goal cannot become real if it never leaves your head, and the process of putting pen to paper actually can help you figure out exactly what you want to do.
