Summary: | The road and transit industry's plans and projects have been heavily influenced by government policy. However, few engineers really understand how different the system would be if public policies were different. It is imagined what might happen to the food service industry if the government introduced policies similar to those that have shaped the present road and transit industry. An elaborate analogy is presented. |
