Summary: | In the experiments reported here, a simple technique was used to measure the phase retardation property of a liquid crystal TV (LQTV) by using Young's double-slit interference principle. Phase retardation measurements for an Epson LQTV were carried out by two methods: irradiance measurement at a fixed position and fringe shift measurement. It is found that both methods produce consistent phase measurements. In comparison with other techniques, the method proposed here is simpler in both experimental setup and interferogram analysis method. (AIAA) |
