Study of the exchange interactions in R sub(3)(Fe,M) sub(29) intermetallic compounds

The effective exchange coupling parameters j sub(FeFe) in the Fe sublattice and j sub(RFe) between the R and Fe sublattices have been calculated based on a mean field approximation according to the experimental values of the Curie temperatures of R sub(3)(Fe,M) sub(29) (R identical with rare earth,...

Description
Summary:The effective exchange coupling parameters j sub(FeFe) in the Fe sublattice and j sub(RFe) between the R and Fe sublattices have been calculated based on a mean field approximation according to the experimental values of the Curie temperatures of R sub(3)(Fe,M) sub(29) (R identical with rare earth, M identical with V, Ti and Mo). j sub(FeFe) is largest when M EQ V and smallest when M identical with Mo, but j sub(RFe) is largest when M identical with Ti and smallest when M identical with Mo for the same R and different M in the R sub(3)(Fe,M) sub(29) compounds.
