Summary:The multivessel batch column presented in this paper provides a generalization of previously proposed batch distillation schemes. A simple feedback control strategy for total reflux operation of a multivessel column is proposed. The feasibility of this strategy is demonstrated by simulations. An experimental column based on the proposed control scheme has been built and the experiments verify the simulations.
