Electronic instability at high fluxflow velocities in HTSC films

In epitaxial c-axis-oriented YBCO films at high flux-flow velocities, the nonequilibrium distribution of the quasi-particles leads to an electronic instability and an abrupt switching into a state with higher electric resistivity.
