Summary:The microscopically itinerant metamagnetism in the intermetallic compounds Y sub 1-x R sub x Co sub 3 (R=neodymium and gadolinium) was studied by exp 59 Co NMR. At 4.2K, two metamagnetic transitions induced by the Nd exchange field were found to take place at xapprox0.35 and 0.85 in Y sub 1-x Nd sub x Co sub 3 , whereas one transition was observed at xapprox0.25 in Y sub 1-x Gd sub x Co sub 3 .
