Summary: | A finite element analysis of the supporting structure of a mobile antenna structure under random and transient forces is presented. The structure is idealized as a space truss and is analysed for wind and earthquake forces. Preliminary design of the antenna supporting structure is obtained for static wind load and dead load. Earthquake response of the structure is obtained by idealizing power spectral densities by a best fit curve. It is found that response of the structure is continuously decreasing with sudden peaks at natural frequencies. |
