Summary:Peritoneal dialysis (PD) has been gaining favor recently as an alternative to hemodialysis (HD) in patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD). Despite the advantages of PD, its long-term success has been jeopardized by catheter malfunction, which frequently requires revision.1–3 The present study retrospectively reviewed patients who had laparoscopically placed PD catheters from May 2015 to January 2021 in a rural community hospital.
