Description
Summary:WE report the first combination of far-infrared linear and nonlinear (saturation) magnetoabsorption experiments on coupled subband Landau level excitations in a series of modulation-doped multiple coupled quantum well (MCDQW) structures. Linear spectroscopy was carried out with a Fourier transform spectrometer over a range of temperature and saturation spectroscopy was carried out with the free electron laser at UC Santa Barbara. Based on theoretical analysis, an electron lifetime of nearly 1.2 ns was obtained.
