Summary: | Semiconductor cluster-doped polymers that are currently of interest as novel composite materials for nonlinear optical and electroluminescent devices may be fabricated using a modified version of the Langmuir-Blodgett and self-assembly techniques. Polyaniline-cadmium sulfide (PANI-CdS) composite films have been prepared by co-depositing cadmium particles during the electrochemical deposition of PANI. The films were characterized using UV-Vis, Fourier transformation infrared (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron and Raman spectroscopic techniques. |
